Ballycopeland Windmill
Ballycopeland Windmill is the only windmill in County Down still in working order. In the miller's house and the kiln house, you can see how things worked and try your hand at milling.

Bronte Interpretive Centre

Located in Rathfriland, formerly a Church and Schoolhouse where Patrick Bronte, father of Charlotte and Emily, preached and teached.

Castle Ward
An 18th century mansion set in a magnificent 700 acre estate running down to the shores of Strangford Lough. It has opposing facades in different styles, the west front is classical, the east front gothic, reflecting the divergence in the taste of the owner and his wife. There is a Victorian laundry and pastime centre, as well as a a sawmill and cornmill, driven by water.

Built in the 12th century, Down Cathedral is sited on the historic hill of Down. Adjacent to the Cathedral is the grave of Ireland's Patron Saint, St Patrick.
