Ards Forest Park
Located 3km south-east of Dunfanaghy, has marked nature trails and is also a wildfowl sanctuary. It covers the northern shore of the Ards Peninsula, the southern shore was taken over by the Capuchin monks in 1930, the grounds of their friary buildings are open to the public.

Arranmore Island

The island of Arranmore, 14km by 5km, has spectacular cliff scenery and sandy beaches. The northern and western parts are wild and rugged. Off the soth-western tip is Green Island, a bird sanctuary. The Arranmore ferry runs between Burtonport and Leabgarrow.
